Does anybody know of any books, non-fiction or fiction, that are based in south Texas or any of the regions around it? I'm reading No Country for Old Men by Cormac Mccarthy right now and it is pretty good. It's based in west and south Texas.

All The Pretty Horses
The Crossing
Cities of the Plain

All by McCarthy...not sequential in time or theme
That's a list of melancholy........

I like his books, but you sure can't be attached to everything working out in the end.....

Finished "No Country For Old Men" this evening and WOW what a great story. Definitely going to revisit this book in the future to try and get more meaning out of it. I wish I would have read it before watching the film

I don't know if your interested in TV.
I enjoyed the Hulu series "The Bridge" based out of El Paso.
I also enjoyed "Friday Night Lights" another series based in Texas.
