Didn't search the threads to see if someone already posted this. USFS, and NDOW is recommending hunters stay out of the Jarbidge area due to the South Sugarloaf fire having jumped Highway 225 and being driven east. the below is from Facebook

Update on the Sugarloaf Fire burning in Northern Elko County: The USFS is now recommending hunters leave the Jarbidge area. Due to extreme wind, fire behavior and smoke, the fire is at times moving up to 10 MPH. This is now affecting hunters in 071 and 072. It is still too smoky for air suppression around much of the active fire. Please be safe and stay out of the area.

Looks like more than a recommendation to hunters now with respect to USFS land. H-T NF in that area and Jarbidge WildernessDlkbMoXUUAU-pFQ.jpg closed currently.

Yep, they closed everything east to the O’Neil Basin. Today was supposed to be cooler and less wind so hopefully they can get a handle on it.

I got a few texts of pictures from my buddy last night as they fought it as it surrounded their cabin.
They were able to save everything. It burned right up to their yard on all sides. The house is centered on probably an acre of green mowed grass Good testament to
Creating defensible space.

About 5 miles east of wild horse. A8D6FB1E-454C-4548-BB28-13536C1BBEED.jpg

See also the other threads from the last 2 weeks under the Elk topics. Much more land reopened recently.
