Had a good 4 day trip with my son and pup, not much downtime when you are hunting both ducks and pheasants. Pheasants seem to be doing better than when we were last there in 2019.

Excellent Work! We tried the duck/pheasant combo one year and more or less ended up making a mess out of both of them. Not to mention we hardly slept since it was a rough pheasant year and limits took all day to achieve (and, iirc, we fell short every day anyway)

i love our SD trips, but the older I get the more I also like the 10:00 start time :) Wheels up in 228 hours for me for round 1.

We have done the combo every year we have gone which for me is since 2003ish. A little tougher some years for sure, this year it did not help that we only had 4 hunting days. Good luck on your trip, I'm sure it will be fun!
