But alot of guys have started pushing through recent cutovers and jumping deer. Its pretty risky because you can harvest a buck and a doe per day but the buck has to have 3pts on at least one side. We usually hunt thick areas that are used as escape cover or bedding areas for the deer, so once the guys start bumping them they are moving alot.
1 ptr, as mentioned Barbour and Lowndes are the best in the state for numbers of deer and quality of bucks. If any of you guys are considering a Jan hunt, let me know I would be willing to point you in a direction to get started.
