BLT contrabando...Can see it now when I go through the bug shack down in Dorris next week... “good morning sir do you have any plants, fruits, vegetables, or CHICHARRONES?”
We always kept a Duroc boar and Hampshire sows; made good bacon. The Hampshires were a more docile hog and took good care of their pigs whereas the Duroc sows were more prone to lie on their young if in tight quarters. Glad those days are over!I figured they were Duroc crosses with the big floppy ears and the build they have. We have had really good luck with Duroc crosses, we have three in our freezer right now as a matter of fact. We didn't do any this year because the market for weiner pigs was almost as bad as going to the lumber yard.
They voted for it. Don’t let them have it both ways.Friends and family from Commie-fornia are already asking us to bring bacon with us when we visit. It's already $20/lb in some spots.
We'll probably start hearing about increased pig poaching! So will the cost of a Cali pig hunt go up now?
Wrong thread Ken?Not sure if the tablets from 2004 exist but mine was probably something to the effect of, "Jose, I'll be your huckleberry."
