sometimes theres not much of a story to tall when it comes to deer hunting with my wife, she tends to be pretty lucky, this year she earned it,,,,,

earlier this summer I took her on a motorcycle ride thru the hills one afternoon, during the ride the tw200 decided to take a left turn instead of right, my wife ended up with compartment syndrome in her lower leg, week in the hospital, 2 surgeries, lots of rehab,,,, i had 2nd degree burns on lower leg knee to ankle, not good, anyway to say we have trained would be a lie,,,,

the trip with my son was a little tough packing a half deer,,,,,

we been watching some deer around the country, tonight she says, lets go for a little hunt, last night i had seen couple 24in 3x3 mulie bucks, thought they would be easy to find,,,,

parked at the fence and walked 300 yards and setup for the evening, she passed on the mulies, wanting a whitetail, right at last light she says , theres a buck right in front of us, sure nough, 200 yards away is a fine looking whitetail, she wispers,"is he big enough" i said shoot,,,,, 260 rem with a 123 scenar thru the shoulder, no muss no fuss, easy drag to the truck

unique forked back tines like a mulie, shes happy making meat, im happy to see her success,,,,,

im sure I broke most if not all the picture rules,,,,,

Dandy of a buck!! Congrats! I've long thought that hunting whitetails in that country would be a blast.

Congrats to you both!! My wife's antelope was about that easy this year, we decided you "don't look a gift horse in the mouth" and when given an easy tag filler make the most of it, nothing wrong with that. We get whitetails around here with split G2's a lot also, love em.
