I’m probably in the minority here, but I throw them all back and just have a steak at the end of the day. Steak > Fish.

Sometimes I do it just to piss people off who don't think you should be allowed to.

Still prefer walleye any day of the week! But it is fun to change it up once in a while.

I wouldn't eat trout caught in Georgia either.

There's quality fish in the North, in particular caught through the ice or early spring in the reservoirs and lakes. Rivers? Not so much, those get thrown back.

Once water temps warm up they aren't worth keeping in the lakes either.

Glad the idiots got caught, they had it coming.

I know of a little lake here in West Central Montana that produces fish through the ice that rival salmon when smoked. mtmuley

I’ve ate a lot of different types of fish in my day and fresh western Wyoming cutthroat over some hot coals rivals just about anything. Now Minnesota brown trout are a different story. They compare to a bad largemouth in the middle of summer.
