This guy was near my mail box. Long range picture - 20-ft out my car window!

What's this in the alfalfa field west of our house?

I'm not the only one who is curious.

Here he is, on his feet.


Look who he is with now! Old "split brow," who I've been taking pictures of for three years now. My son and I have bow hunted him but never seen him after his velvet has been shed. My neighbor found his sheds this spring.


And then there's El Freako!

Love the photos, but I am jealous. Only critters that close to my house seem to be an occasional quail or pheasant or the neighbor's dog, which seems to prefer crapping on my lawn over theirs.

Nice pics! Are you going to try and shoot him in archery season? That would be a nice velvet buck to stick.
