Seems like some alot of claims without much of anything approaching ways to verify said claims.

Going through the slides on that presentation, what in the world are all the guys from Utah bitching about on the MM forum? Don says right in his presentation that it's the Serengheti of North America!

I'm curious where he gets his numbers from that's for sure. $100 million spent? I guess that includes the DWR budget for the last 20 years or something. The $50 million spent on highway crossings? How much of that $50 million was contributed by SFW? I've looked at their 990's for all the years that are online and never noticed one cent contributed but he's taking credit for it.

I agree that meeting with them originally was definitely for the cash/agenda, but why show so many in a powerpoint to Canadians? Seems like a real "Hey, Look at me!"

It will be interesting to see if any facts are provided, or if the debate will be all "I said so." Those slides are classic about taking credit for so much. Just like the email BGF sent out today, again taking credit for wolves.

I suspect that if Al Gore had not beat SFW to the punch, they would stake claim to inventing the internet. It is hard to not laugh, except for the fact that you know some guys are too busy to do their own research, making their decision on what they read or hear from these kind of sources.

The hard part for me is sorting all the facts and evidence I have to support as citations for my points in the debate. You would be amazed at how many UT guys have contacted me, offering to provide help or information to counter many of the claims that will be made.

Just looking at those links worried me, to the uneducated hunter attending these events they would probably swallow all of it hook line and sinker just because he rubbed shoulders with these people.
I dont know how things work in the US but i see they describe themselves as a non profit making organisation, surely they have to file some sort of annual report that is audited?

Things are "fast in lose" in the US when it comes to supposed non-profits. They are not required to issue financial statements. The Internal Revenue Service publishes some of the information from each charities tax return, but nothing in much detail. Easy to hide a lot of information in the non-profit accounting world, if you so chose.
