For sale Vortex Ranger 1800 rangefinder, used 3 seasons, nothing wrong with it but was having trouble getting accurate ranges at longer distance in certain situations, particularly in snow. I upgraded to Leica.

In the snow seemed like over 300 was spotty, under was usually fine but if glare was bad sometimes trouble in the 150-300 range. If snow was patchy usually okay but full snowy landscape with sunshine and glare it had trouble.

Wow that sucks!! It seems snow helps me pick up objects on my 1000!!! I have trouble picking up 700 or better! I’d send it in…

Had the exact same issue with my maven. Wouldnt range at all or would give erroneous ranges in snow covered landscapes. Terribly frustrating. Missed more than 1 opportunity.
