Slugged Him

This is my first year going after whitetails, and after hunting some weapons restriction areas for birds last year and seeing good doe numbers, I decided to test out slug gun. We put my wife onto some nice does earlier this week, her first big game hunting experience ever, and made an addict out of her! The next day we went out and saw a nice buck but couldnt get him into range. This morning I got into where I wanted to be nice and early and saw a buck heading my way. After composing myself after a serious bout of buck fever, I steadied against a tree branch and let the 20 Ga. rip. Thank God i drilled him cuz I woulda regretted whiffing this guy for a long time. Im thinking of making him my Christmas present from my wife as a shoulder mount seeing as how he's my first and Im pretty happy with him.
