Just wondering what REI and such have done?
My gore-tex rain suit is ancient Cabellas. My Gander Mtn waterfowl parka is even older.

Everything smells like chemicals to me these days. Outside my place.
Always hated plastics.

A lot of companies have their own proprietary materials now. REI’s is called eVent.

Looks like they have recently brought out some new goretex stuff online that just says not for sale to NY or CA residents. If they’re getting rid of it all together I wish the online prices reflected that

I got some German Army wool pants in Santa Fe at an army surplus store; best hunting pants ever; warm, quiet, and the weave was so dense snow didn't penetrate much.

Sure the store is long gone due to gentrification.

We called them "Gunters". Still out there to be found if you have a 28" waist.
