Just stumbled across this one.

I'm an optics junkie and for me, there is nothing that can compare in the performance to price ratio with the Conquest HD. I guess they are clearing them out to make room for the new HDX, but man oh man these are used prices for new world class bins. I've owned the 10x42's and put them up against Swaro SLC's (twice) and sold the SLC's. My daily drivers are the 8x32's, long regarded as the best of the lot and one of the best 8x32's ever made. At this price, I may grab a couple pairs so I never have to buy bins again.

Thanks for posting. Eurooptic is good to go. The only caution I'd share is that some users experience kidney-beaning / black out spots with the Conquests. I REALLY liked a pair I tried, and REALLY wanted them to work, and comparing them side by side to other "alpha" binoculars, they stood up really well - but they just didn't work for my eyes. The issue was the blackout effect - could not quickly bring them up to my eye and get an instant image. Zeiss even sent me their longer / extended eye cups for free, which helped a little bit, but wasn't all the way there. Kind of disappointed they didn't work out. Others may have a different experience, or, as they say YMMV.

Yes, this is a known issue with the stock eyecups if you don't wear glasses. If you wear glasses, this is a blessing. I have the extended eyecups - thanks to Zeiss' outstanding CS - at no cost to me. They didn't even charge me shipping. But thank you for pointing that out. I had forgotten about this, I've had my Conquest HD's so long now.
