Should I stuff him???

I shot this desert buck yesterday morning at about 11 AM. I spotted him early in the morning but it took me along time to decide if I wanted to kill him. He is only 23" wide but he has some character and it was my last morning to hunt (atleast for the August season).

I scored him this morning and his is roughly 171 2/8 (gross). He has some neat stuff on his bases and he has a few extras but I am still not sure if I should fill him up.

Good rule to follow, If your proud of your hunt and it was memorable and want to be reminded of that particular hunt each time you see him up on the wall by all means mount him. I would would.

It's a nice buck! With the velvet and extras on him and the fact you arrowed him I'd say put him on the wall too.

Put him on the wall, he is worth it. At minimum do a european mount on him.

I think you already did.. just from the "hey I just got great dying quivers!!" look on your face. But that's a nice buck and you should take it to the taxidermist.

Craig, personnally, think any critter taken with a bow is a trophy. but after looking at the pic, hell yeas mount that critter. beautiful animal there.

Personally, I have never had an animal mounted and later regretted it. I have however not had some mounted and regretted it. So I say, go ahead and stuff that buck. Looks like a nice one.

Technically it's Mounting. Stuffing was back in the early 1900's when they used rags to stuff animals. Now, It's called mounting. I would mount it but I mount forked horns

Can they make a velvet skull mount? That might be a choice, if so, if not, I vote mount him.

Well, I took him to the Taxidermist today. I set him up next to last years buck, as I told my wife that I would not mount another one unless it was bigger than that one. Here is the best picture:

This picture does not do my buck from last year justice but it sure made this years buck look good when I showed my wife!!!!!

Here is one more picture. My camera accidentally got turned on, so I was unable to get very many pictures. Long story but after several minutes of the thing beeping I finally figured out that it was my camera and not somebody following me around in the dark.

Thanks, for posting all. I hope you enjoy, as I only post pictures on this site because every other site seems to like bashing each other to much. I like the attitudes around here and this year MOOSIE I smiled just for you.
