Sheep meat any good?

It sure seems like a long time from now but it's going to go by in a flash while getting my ankle back to where it should be.

Not sure if it was the rut. I still can't wrap my head around how the rut would taint the meat on an animal???? I get it may have an external smell but how does it affect muscle taste? Just thoughts that keep me up at nigt lol

I wonder if it’s hormones. Yesterday, I had backstraps from a 7 year old September ram and they were excellent.

My ram was not that great - not terrible, but I ended up making breakfast sausage out of most of it and that was pretty good. It was an old rutting late November ram.

Very good desert ram@13,000 feet. Unique and great taste. Would still take moose first.
