Wow this place sure has changed, looks like a lot of new faces here.

Well I finally got settled in up here. I guess I should say I've finally made time to waste on the internet.

Here's a few pictures of 'fun' I've been having the last month and a half.

Decent day fishing for reds. 4 fisherman 4 limits, 1 hour... :)

Another decent day... 2 fisherman 2 limits, 2 hours.

A little deep sea action, 3 day camping adventure in the Gulf, 5 killers, and over 1000 pounds of fish.

Hope you like eating fish.Looks like things are working out great up north.

Nice fish Bambistew!! Your a lucky dog.

I caught 33lb king on the Kenia(sp) river and a couple 25lbers in Ketchikan when I was there 3 weeks ago. When I got to Homer I decided not to fish for Halibut. My wife couldn't believe it. Price was sure right but I just didn't feel like it. I thought I made a good decision when I got a haircut from an old bush pilot in the Anchorage airport. He said halibut reel in like dishrags. He had a ton of old pics and storys on his computer and shared them with me. Now after seeing your pics I'm sorry I didn't go.

Next summer!:D

Looks like fun!

The photo titled "WTF" in your album cracked me up. Reminded me of some camping trips my buddies and I took in high school.:D

Bambi:

Glad its going well. If this is the carnage of fishing season, can't imagine what hunting season will look like.

Enjoy your time there and share it with us. We are envious.

I think I've fished 22-23 days since I've been here but I can't be sure, thats been since the 20th of June. :) I've only broken one fly rod too... course a 8' 5wt on 10-12 pound chums is a bit on the light side.

I have another big fishing trip lined up before the summer is over, but for the most part it will be after work type trips from here on out. I have an archery moose hunt is in the works for this weekend. Halibut fishing/camping next weekend, then a 4 day sheep hunt, then... fly out for moose for 10 days... then who friggn knows. I'm sure there will be a grizz hunt or two in the mix and maybe a goat hunt depending on if I have time... then if I can manage to squeeze in a trip to MT for deer and elk I'll call it a good season.

Here's a few more pictures of our 4th of July trip.

I need to upload more pictures. The cross country trip was... well nearly 7,000 miles by the time I got here and a great time none the less.

All I know is life is about as good as It can get.

So I guess you like your decision to move?

Wish I could get the guts to do it. I took my wife up there a couple of weeks ago, and I got the impression that the trip turned her from "not in a million years" to "well, it's nice in the summer." :D

Big congrats!!! Like Oak, I don't have the brass or a wife that'd put up with it. Take LOTS of pics and be sure to share...
