Asking you experts about a fair price to ask for a gun I'm contemplating selling. Browning X Bolt Stalker LR 280 AI. With a Swarovski Z3 4-12x50 maybe a 100 rounds thru it. Looking to buy another bow instead. Just not sure what to ask for or what I could get out of it. No scratches or dings either. Not really looking to sell on here since I don't know how to ship it, maybe a well known and reputable person could help too. Thanks in advance.

Well after some research I'll ship from my FFL to your FFL of choice. Seams fairly straight forward. I'll include the dies, some 59 bullets, nosler brass, loaded rounds, and my reloading info. I've bought a few things from people on here. PM for more info. I'm pretty flexible on price.

Hard to say because browning has been blowing out the xbolts cheap lately to make room for xbolt2. There’s so many variants that it’s more a matter of finding the right buyer probably. $1800 seems high to me but might not be for the right person looking for that rifle.

Sell the scope separately. I think the market for used optics is kind of soft right now. Also that might not be someone else's idea of the scope they'd want. I bet it will be around $100 just to ship it.

I might be wrong, but I'm not sure that you can ship ammo with a firearm.

For anyone who knows who pays the transfer fee, the seller or the buyer?

I agree with selling the scope separately. I don’t believe it’s legal to ship ammo but I could be wrong. I may or may not have thrown a box or two in a flat rate box before.
Unless it’s changed in the last couple years, the gun owner can ship directly to a FFL via USPS. The info is (or used to be) listed on their website. I believe all you need is a copy of the FFL in the box and another copy for the post office. Last one I shipped was around $45.
Usually, the buyer pays the transfer fee, at least that’s how it worked in my limited experience.
