I just got back from a “scouting” trip with my dad and two year old daughter. I’ve never listened to the Moana soundtrack or kicked a Paw Patrol ball around while combing through the elk woods before. There weren’t any early morning/late evening glassing sessions or giant hikes, but it was a two-birds-with-one-stone trip—get the lay of the land in a distant unit I haven’t previously hunted, and get my kid out in our public land mountains with her granddad. This was our third camping trip of the summer. I hope a love for the outdoors sticks with her. She sure digs it now.

That's awesome! I always think my young ones are too young, but I'm now rethinking that.

That is beyond awesome. I just had a weekend with my three granddaughters at our deer camp in the low country of South Carolina. Loved every minutes of it especially the 11 year old plinking with the 22!
