Hi all, new to the West and muley's. Back in Georgia I was pretty good at estimating whitetails on the hoof. Well I'm living in Evergreen Co currently and some interesting bucks wander through the yard. What does this guy score? Believe it or not, his body is massive, just hard to tell with antlers looking at you.

Looks like a fully mature buck with a big body. I'm not great at scoring but I would guess 185+. Certainly a buck most all of us would love to hunt.

Great looking mature buck. Being a 4x3 he won't score that well but score isn't really that important IMO. That said I agree mid 170s.

I went back and used actual math and got 85" and 83" on the antlers, and 27" inside. That's 195" and my estimate of total gross. He might net in the 170s, but that's certainly not what I'd call a mid-170s buck.

I apologize for the blurry photos, but it's horn porn non the less. I see this guy regularly as well.

They both score a .277 inch projectile to the boiler room in my estimation.

In Evergreen it would take a couple of preference points and cool neighbors. Good luck finding the latter around here.

Here's one that lived by my house. Guesses? I know he was killed, but never heard numbers. mtmuley

As a typical he would score as a 3x4, which means you only get 3 points on the 4 point side. Weak kfronts and not much mass will net him closer to 150 then 180.

Beautiful buck.
