Took the family on the scenic by way, a 100 mile drive through the central Sierras today.
First stop, Rock creek.

I hiked a quarter mile up the creek, so I could catch planters from a few weeks back, as opposed to the camping area, where you catch planters from a few days ago. Half dozen catch and release, and on up the road.

The Dogwoods are blooming.

Saw some deer, already up high. (saw a coyote also, but he wouldn't pose for a photo.

Things were wet and green. I was worried with the drought we are having, but up a 7-8,000 feet, there is still some patchs of snow.
