savage 110 ultralite

Can anybody tell me where i can get a spare mag for this rifle? Even on savages website none of the pics of their mags match. Ive emailed them twice and recieved no response.

Savage has came a very long ways, the ultralight is proof of that. Just got done bedding and free floating one for a friend. Shoots half inch minus at 100 yards. Only ways around 6 pounds ,scope sling and full mag.

i have a savage in 223 and as a knock about gun i rate it highly,,shot a wallaby at 327 yrds of my left side as the hill would not cooperate for my right hand which im that way inclined,,not the prettiest but a goodie

Ok, you bought the rifle. You shot the rifle.
Your impressions?
What do you like?
What don't you like?
Weight with scope & sling?

Havent weighed it, but i have a pretty heavy scope setup on it. Wasnt meant to be the lightest possible setup, i have my model 16 lightweight hunter .308 for that, which is topped with talley lightweight rings and a 9oz 3-9×33 leupold. That sucker is super light.

Gun is pretty much what i expected, though my 2 savage 16 lwhs shoot better groups. This gun is for pretty close range shooting and its sub moa, so im golden. The accufit stock is nice. You can see in the pic im using the highest comb piece to account for my funny scope setup. Would have to use a pad otherwise. The lop is adjustable too so could be a good gun for a kid that had some more growing to do. About the only thing i can say i dont like about it is that you cant really tell with that carbon wrap how warm the barrel is getting. Ill be putting more bench time in after hunting season, see if i cant get my groups under 1/2".

Yeah but i dont handload. Both my savage 16 lwhs shoot 1/2 moa or better with factory ammo. I dont shoot far enough to worry about hand loading. If im in a situation where i really feel the need i can kill an animal at 300 no problem, but i dont really get off on taking game that far away. I prefer very close shots. Hence the 1-8× scope on this gun.

Just finished a backpack elk hunt with my Savage 110 Ultralite in 280AI. 7.2 pounds with 5 rounds scoped. Shoots sub moa. Leupold VX5 3-15x44 with Seekins Rings and Leupold 20MOA Backcountry Rail. Last 200yd grouping with Hornady 162 ELDX

I just bought my daughter a Lightweight Storm in .308. If I remember the stats correctly, its only about 11 oz heavier than the Ultralight but costs $700 less. It seemed like a much better value to me.

What kinds of velocities are you getting! I really like the look of this gun and am looking at the 280 ackley. My biggest hang up with the savage is the 22” barrel, wishing it were at least 24”

If they didn't put an accutrigger in it I would maybe consider buying one.

I’ve shot 6 big game animals with my 110 UL in .280 AI this year. With an EGW base, Warne rings, 4.5-14x40 VX-3i, and a Yankee Hill QD muzzle brake and Resonator suppressor, I’m sitting around 8 pounds 5 oz. I’m shooting 162 grain Hornady PH factory loads, and it shoots great. Target is my first 5 shot group at 100 after initial break in. The stock feels cheap but it fits really well with the adjustable LOP and cheek comb. It’s my do-all hunting rifle so it’s nice to not care about the stock getting scratched/dinged/covered in mud. That’s my $.02 for what it’s worth.
