The grapple happened fast, and we were standing between my bumper and swinging rear door. I had no chance to use my gun, and I had unloaded and cased it anyway.

I wish I had known about taking the legs out.

I’m sure depends on what state you want to hunt and there regulations, I’d start by deciding where you would want to hunt then get on G&F website and see what there process is and regulations

Sure. I guess I should've been more specific. Are you setting up and waiting? Walking till you see one? Decoys?

Full Bodied Decoys and a well maintained/built blind. They have excellent eyesight, so decoys and blinds need to be kept in good condition. As has been mentioned they can put the hurt on a dog very quickly. Excellent table fare. Yes, a 20 gauge will work.
