Saint Patrick’s Day Vittles

I had sushi for supper. I think they do that in far eastern Ireland.

Corned beef for dinner. 3 hours in the smoker then finished in the oven with potato, carrots and cabbage.

Corned whitetail roasts. Boiled carrots and parsnips. Mashed potatoes. Sautéed bacon, onion, and red cabbage.Bread machine bread. Creamy horseradish and mustard sauce. Ice cold Grain Belt.

What’s planned for ya?

I started off the day with a pitcher of mimosas with the wife, and some Irish Benedict. Basically Eggs Benedict, but the protein is corned beef hash.

Heading to a party tonight and made some Reuben dip. Shredded corned beef, Swiss cheese, Cream cheese, sauerkraut, thousand Island, and hot sauce. Mix it up and put it in a crockpot. Beginning and end.

More on the way: Guinness, corned beef pasties, some Irish sweets.

I'm Italian so I went to work and then Door Dashed some Wendy's

I had fish and chips. That's because every Friday when I was growing up in Ireland we had fish and chips.
I've always felt that the best meal in Ireland was breakfast (fried soda bread, fried potato bread, bacon, beef sausages, and fried eggs).

We went out to one of the nicer restaurants in town last night , they had some St Patty’s day specials , but I went a different route , brussel sprouts, a salad and their Korean bowl and a couple cranberry mules !

Took grand daughters, back east. Downed Corned beef, three times this past week.
Poconos at Woodloch pines @#3, fun place, lots to do. Family in Maryland @#1, and some rock climbing! And a Reuben @#2 in D.C., after a white house visit & museums.

I enjoy a nice restaurant, last weekend the wife went to a different spot , I got a bacon wrapped quail stuffed with a crab cake , and a smoked salmon appetizer with a banana tart for dessert , it’s fun to spoil yourself

HAPPY ST PATTYS DAY, HUNT TALKERS!!!

Free corned elk n' cabbage feed with lots of grand Irish music and desserts at Gallatin Gateway Community Center today, 5 to 7 pm. Donations go to Gateway area worthy students scholarship fund.
