Sage grouse/quail hunt pics

Bkillin, Jaeger and I trekked to the desert this past weekend for a little wingshooting. Tally ended up 4 chickens and 8 quail with exactly 12 total rounds spent. Early easy birds I guess. Jaeger now 15+ months and fresh from the trainer did a terrific job.

Looks like ya found em! 2 sage hens each...must have been on the western side of the state. Over here in eastern Idaho it was a 7 day season, 1 bird/day. I bet I saw over 100 hens...it was tough quitting with 1.

How was the numbers over there?

Is that an english pointer?

From everyone I've spoken to (landowners and hunters) it sounds as though the chicken numbers are very good this year in Owyhee County. My pup is a 15 month old German Shorthair.
