I had a mild urge to turn and go over Lolo Pass. I used to travel that route fairly often, but haven’t been over it in close to 20 years as well.

No sense in going that way unless you have time to stop at Jerry Johnson and take a dip. Better yet if you can bomb in to Gates…

When I was younger Sleeping Child and Medicine were great places to go. Lost Trail is still open but not very favorable. Elkhorn would be where I would go.

Yeah. We turned off just north of Idaho Falls, up through Leadore, Salmon, Lost Trail Pass, Sula.

The last time I was over Lost Trail was right after 9/11/2001.

I thought so. I found this set of antlers and a whole lot of others on a ridge in one of those pictures in the early 90's. Some day I would like to get back, but it may never happen. Thanks for bringing back some memories.
