Ruger M77 tang 243 win for sale

I was looking at a .243 the other day brand new for my son first rifle. I think it was Remington. I am no gun aficionado so I really have no idea what the custom work you did means… it was about the same price new though, minus the ammo of course! $600 it also came with a little vortex. Someone sell me on what separates this one from the brand new one at the store?

I am in the market!!

That M77 is a bona fide classic -- solid construction, visually distinct, and much rarer than a new Remington (no offense to Rem fans).

I am the biggest Remington fan on HT. I also have three Rugers, two of them tang safety rifles. If I could swing it I would buy this myself. And one of my tang rifles is a .243. mtmuley

The guys at sportsmans were trying to tell me he can use it on his first elk too. I figured in 2 more years he can shoot my .308, because idk if I trust the .243 to do the job if it aint dead nuts perfect. What have you taken and how do you personally feel about the cartridge?

368 yards with a .243 and 100 grain old style nosler solid base, my nephews first elk:

Went maybe 50 yards:

I'm sitting here trying to justify why I need a .243 when I have a 6mm in the same rifle...hmmm, I have a few hundred .243 brass, a metric shit-ton of .243 bullets.

That's a sweet rifle and I'm shocked its not been sold.

I had one of these in 25-06 and I miss it all the time. Too young and dumb to know I shouldn’t have sold it.

Good looking rifle, good luck with sale.

Lots of deer and antelope have died. A friend of mine that was rifle poor and had a bad shoulder killed a few bulls with it. Probly my favorite rifle behind my .222 Remington. mtmuley

They're great guns. I my first rifle is in .270, still have it.

I should have kept my 338… I loved that rifle. When my first crazy wife ran me into the ground I had to sell nearly everything to make ends meet. I am so blessed to be where I am today. I won’t even mention what I sold it for…
