Yep, it’s really frustrating. They are in the unit every year in different spots, sometimes the same unfortunately. We didn’t see them when we came in of friday, got really excited. Only to find out they had been there and left when we got back into the drainage.

Well the curse might just have to wear out. It’s a hat my parents got me at the 1989 Skiing world championships that sat in box for 30+ years. It’s the most comfortable hat I have found that is legal for hunting. Has a sweat band included and the brim is soft so it can flip up and get out of the way of the scope when shooting. It was hood luck for antelope, hopefully for deer too!

In all honesty it’s probably good I didn’t shoot an elk back there. Hiking an elk out of that blow down hell hole by myself may not have ended very well...
