MarvB, That's exactly where they were at. You recognize the field or something? You live around there, I guess, eh.

Tom- I grew up in that general area (Eureka, CA) and we used to log just north of their in what is now the Ladybird Johnson portion of the Nat. Park.

I drove past/dodged those elk for years and we had a few "contacts" with our logging trucks as well I've also put in (unsuccessfully I might add :MAD ) for that Big Lagoon elk hunt from time to time.

I was thinking that was out on Hoods Canal until I saw you had Ca. marked on it...

From the road you can see some 50-60 head when the tide ebs out.
