Hey Guys,

Any personal recommendations on a decent motel in Riverton, Wyoming for an upcoming antelope trip?

Would be great if it had a kitchenette, though that seems unlikely at this time from research, etc. I'd like to be able to back up near the door if possible to do some cooking on a BBQ or Coleman stove however.

Doesnt need to be super fancy, but would like it clean and comfortable.

Hard to decide whats decent online. Anyone used the "Paintbrush Motel"? Suggestions?

I looked at all the possiblities in town and it looks like the Paintbrush would be my choice from the pictures, amenities, and the price is about as good as you can get IMHO.

Stayed at the Hampton Inn before during a lope hunt. Nice, clean place, nobody jacked our stuff. Will be there again this year. What unit will you be hunting?

I stay there 3-4 times a yr for work. Hampton all the way. Before the new Hampton I just moseyed on down to lander.

Good unit, you should have a great hunt. Enjoy it.

Thanks ya we've been waiting and building points and hoping we can find some good quality bucks. My goal is something in the high 70's or into the 80" mark, but I'll hang on to my tag and enjoy the time down there with friends and see what I can find!!!

If you want to live it up there is a casino/hotel a couple miles south of Riverton!

Excellent unit and you should be able to take an 80" this year if you know what to look for and take your time before you squeeze the trigger!

PaintBrush is the way to go. Stay there few years ago for goat hunt. Great people and super clean rooms.

The casino is the nicest hotel in that area. I really enjoy staying there. Nice beds and rooms and you can hit the slots if you're so inclined. Its called the WindRiver Casino and Hotel.

Sounds like there is gonna be a group of us all there. We are coming in from California, the same time.

If any of you guys turn up a good mule deer while antelope hunting, I would love to hear from you. I was lucky enough to draw a limited tag for unit 90. Because I was tasked with a second job at work for the summer (long story), I had to cancel both scouting trips. I have two trips planned in October and it looks like I will overlap with a few of you. I'll be the cheap hobo sleeping in the back of the white GMC with Montana plates - no motel for this guy :) Good luck with the 'lopes!

Had a great hunt and Paintbrush motel was more than accomodating for us. I'd reccomend them in a heartbeat again and will be staying there next time we draw!

Didnt see any big mulies....couple smaller 4x4's and a bigger framed 3x3 but light on the mass.

Ended up killing a heavy buck on day 3 or 4....and all 5 of us looked over hundreds of bucks and we ended up with some nice ones for sure. Well worth the wait! Pics to follow in another thread.
