He was driving an immaculate shiny 4 door sedan Mercedes that was at least 40 years old.
Bodies were found in different parts of the house and its being reported that the wife was dead longer than Gene (advanced decomp). Police are still saying it doesn't appear to be foul play. It'll be interesting to learn how/if carbon monoxide plays in.Carbon monoxide?
That's gotta stink!Found dead along with wife & dog @ home in Santa Fe. No signs of fowl play.
Man, he likely had an incredibly nice and modern home and somehow rodents got in there heavy enough to give his wife the hanta virus. Maybe she was cleaning a crawl space or at attic. Probably thought she just had a cold at first and then got by a freight train. Terrible.
And then what?I think I will wait for the official investigation report. mtmuley
We will know what physical evidence and data says instead what the Inquirer has determined. And then what?
And then it will be reliable information and not internet chatter. mtmuleyAnd then what?

Hanta get to be a whole lot worse than a cold very, very fast. I can say that with experience. It is not something to f-with. But these are very private people and likely, she pushed very quickly to the point where she could not function or think clearly due to oxygen deprivation. I got it at the age of 25, when I was in excellent condition. I would not have survived had I been her age.
Very sad, anyway you look at it.
Mice do not understand economic or celebrity status. The disease was originally diagnosed in the 4-corners area and is common there, but it exists in most states. Peromyscus maniculatus (the deer mouse) is one of the most widely distributed mammals in North America, so we all can encounter it. Some other species will also harbor it to a smaller degree. Anyway, don't fool around when cleaning places with deer mice. If you don't know what mouse you have, assume that is it.Man glad you got treated. We get hanta training where I work because we open a lot of cabins in the spring in an area with a lot of deer mice. A retired employee died from it years ago after cleaning out a shed. Crazy to think someone of their status would be dealing with cleaning mouse shit.
