RIP Capt. Aaron Blanchard

Terrible. No other words. Please let us know if more information comes available. And, if there is some way we can help those affected.

God bless him, and protect all who serve.

>>>>Ditto! I cried a tear and don't even know you sir! Wish I had. God bless you now, and may He be with your family and provide comfort and peace.

I'm really hoping this turns out to be wrong. I live in the same town where Capt. Blanchard is stationed. When there is a casualty from Fort Drum it is normally all over the news pretty quick and there has been nothing yet.

Terrible news, hope that it turns out to be wrong. Prayers and thoughts go out to the family and friends and those who are out there defending us every day.

What everyone else has said. My family and I are grateful for his service. Whether he made one post or a thousand here, it hits close to home.

Unfortunately that is not the case

May God's perpetual light shine upon him. From my entire family and the deepest depth s of my heart, Thank you Cpt. Blanchard for making the ultimate sacrifice so we at home remain safe. You and your family are in our prayers.

Terrible sad news. I, like some of you, feel like I knew him.
I pray for his family and I truly appreciate all that serve for us.

Makes my problems seem selfish.

I salute you Captain Aaron Blanchard

Rotary flyers have to have a special place in Heaven for all the folks they protect and save every day. God bless this heroes family and may they take some solace in the fact that his service saved many.

All gave some, Some gave ALL....we will NEVER forget

Very bummed about this news. Had talked/messaged with him and really enjoyed his perspective on many things. This story reflected the outlook he shared when I visited with him.

To all who have served and are serving, once again, my deepest gratitude to you and your families.
