Rinella on CNN this morning

Yea, while you're watching Tiffany try to shoot her bow without becoming entangled in her nice bossoms LOL!

you bet! What a great marketing tool. . .times 2! I don't like how they do their shows, but, i could watch her just stand there for a half hour! LOL. Hey if I had millions, I'd be able to do exactly what they do and maybe even get the wife some "bolt ons"!

Have to love the fact he took a once anti-hunter with him. I have noticed a turn in hunting television coming on more and more, and its great to see. There is still room for more shows like MeatEater and OYOA. Would love to see them replace a lot of what's out there.

couldnt agree more with

OYOA and Meateater are great, but you have to include The Crush with Lee and Tiffany. Those guys really show what hunting is all about. I especially like that they remove the ear tags from their pets before the grip and grin shots. It does bug me a little that my wife likes to watch Lee in his tight T-shirt though.

Your first portion. A lot of the whitetail shows are doing more damage than good for hunting. They are making it harder and harder every year to get permission in places. Everyone wants to make their own little sanctuaries and the average hunter gets the short end of the stick.

I've said it before: OYOA and Meateater are the two best outdoor shows, hands down. My wife doesn't hunt, but she'll sit and watch them with me because it's more... well, let's say realistic. Now, I'll turn on Sportsman Channel and watch all the "other" hunting/gun stuff anyway, but especially when there's nothing else on, but I cringe when they do the "touchdown" dance, spike the football, yell out "BBD" or "Booyah!" Really??? You took an animal's life and all you can yell is "Booyah???"

I especially love the shows where they show "freakazoid" deer. Instead of normal antlers they look like thay have a head full of calcified salad greens. Yeah.... Your deer just naturally grew 48 points like that? The racks look like a freeze-frame of fireworks exploding. No, you didn't earn that buck by dumping pallet loads of C'Mere Deer did you?

Anyway, I'm reading Meateater now. I'll more than likely go back and buy his previous books. Randy and Steven are awesome for the sport. Doesn't seem like you can bullshit "nice". It has to be genuine.

Now, Pigman, THERE's a true non-asshole! (I'd insert rolley-eyes here if I knew how)

Emrah

Highly recomend "American Buffalo" by Steve Rinella. It was every bit as good as "Meateater" IMHO. The amount of research he put into that book baffles me.

I am reading that right now. Finished a chapter during half-time of the OU A&M game. Good reading for a guy who has a bison tag in his pocket.

Caught the first episode of season 3 tonight. The first time ever watching this show, and I have to say I liked it, especially the processing of the caribou, although it could have shown more. It was pretty cool though and my kids liked it too. The once anti-hunter shooting and cooking his first caribou was a nice touch. The bone merrill stew looked yummy. I'm going to try that sometime.
