Rimfire Rifle Recommendations (update, found one)

I just got a tikka t1x over the weekend. And picked up my silencer for it this afternoon. Went straight to the fields for some gophers. Out to 75 yards shots were deadly.

Just ordered a limbsaver recoil pad so it will feel exactly like my t3x. This 22 is a sweet little shooter.

Optic?

I had a vortex diamondback lying around so that's what is getting used for now. Goes up to 13x I believe, more than I need right now. For field use it's actually perfect.

I will keep an eye out for a scope I can dial but won't break the bank. Then it will truly function like my hunting rifle.

I have a Diamondback Tactical 4-16x44 FFP on my T1x that is set of for walking around hunting, its a great scope for mimicking a more expensive target turret scope. It has the DIP flush fit mag bases to make it more handy, and a TBAC Takedown 22 can. My T1x that is set up for bench shooting has a Venom 5-25x56 FFP, because too much is just enough. I use the standard mags on this one, and it has a Dead Air Mask HD. I put factory Tikka recoil pads on both of them so they are the same as my centerfire rifles.

I’ve tried to talk myself out of the Tikka. I just can’t see anything else out there that hands down beats it, not at that price point anyway.

The fact I’ve got a T3 doesn’t hurt. It’s been flawless. I wish they were prettier, and a 3 position safety would not anger me. Barring a smoking hot deal, my mind is made up.

No love for the Ruger American here so I'll be that guy!! Picked up a 17hmr stainless and it shoots great with my Banish 22 on it.
Also got the kid 1 a few years ago in 22lr that is a great shooter as well, his isn't threaded but very accurate no issues with them. The suppressor is awesome. I shoot it alot on my Ruger 22/45 that thing is so fun no need to worry about ear pro!! I caught my 17 on sale less that $350. I have never shot a Tikka but have seen good groups from them across different calibers.

+1 for the Ruger American. Mine in 22wmr has shot almost everything extremely well straight from the box (until I realize how long it’s been since I’ve cleaned it, anyway 😂)

I have mine setup just like me t3x. Leupold score and the limbsaver recoil pad. The feel nearly identical.

All those are excellent choices, I am slightly leaning toward a Bergara since they are known for their barrels, but those CZ are tack drivers as well.....Not as familiar with Tikka's but I hear they are great as well....I dont think you can go wrong with any of these.

Got this out today for a zero and shoot in.

Granted I’ve never had a good rimfire rifle, but this thing shoots like a house afire! 10 at 25yds then moved to 50yds. 2 10 shot groups covered with a quarter not counting a couple flyers (deer flys actually).

That’s all the Deer Flies were going to allow. The Subsonic Browning ammo was a bit better than the Rem Thunderbolts. Didn’t get a chance to try anything else.IMG_5372.jpeg
