Will provide substantial reward for the return or solid information leading me to my stolen rifle, no questions asked, I just want my rifle back. Was stolen on Thursday October 25 near Centennial High School in Boise at around 9 pm from my truck.

Items:
Weatherby Mark V 300 Win Mag with black synthetic stock and fluted barrel. Topped with a Vortex Viper HS 4-16x50 BDC scope and butler creek scope covers and butler creek sling that held for bullets. Was in a padded camo/black rifle case.

Like I said, no questions asked, I just want my rifle back.

Many thanks to everyone keeping an eye and ear out for me!

Dude, that sucks. Hope you get it back, and don't ever find out who did it. That way you don't have to go to jail.

I hope you get it back and are able to hand out a good punch in the guts!!! Azzholes!

Thanks Critter. Now that I'm back in the market for a new rifle, how is your 7mm wsm working for you? I know you have it dialed, I'm curious if you have any issues with loads jamming as you rechamber after a shot. That is the only negative I've heard of this caliber rifle. Also, do you recommend any manufacturers that sell this caliber? I've looked online and it seems that the 7 mm wsm may be a custom build only.

Browning produces the A-Bolt and X-Bolt in 7mm WSM. I have 4 A-Bolts and one X-Bolt and they all shoot better than my capability.

I just got a 300WSM in a M70 Classic (CRF) because I a) have always wanted a M70 and b) have long wanted a WSM. I cycled several dummy rounds, at difference speeds and force and never had an issue with feeding.

I know you can get a M70 in the "Extreme Weather" or "Featherweight" packages in 7WSM. I'm pretty sure Remington and Kimber only chamber in 270 and 300.

keep an eye on gunbroker and the like. Does the truck have full cover ins?

My homeowners covers it however, typically a claim of this magnatude (approximately $2500) my insurance rates would jump and I'd end up paying for it and more in the long run anyhow. Insurance is a joke and is really only there for catastrophic events.

It's really important that you keep records of the serial numbers on all of your firearms. If one gets stolen, file a police report with the serial number so that the gun can get entered in NCIC. This is the nationwide stolen check and is your best bet at getting your firearm back.

police report filed. Serial numbers provided.

What I've found is that all Pawn shops are required to submit serial numbers and hold the item for 30 days before trying to sell it, however, shops like Boise Gun Company or Cabelas is not required by law to do this. The shop could be a licensed FFL dealer and still not be requried to submit the serial numbers! Boise Gun Company told me they only check those that are suspicious becuase the paperwork is rediculous. Freaking joke! With todays technology, it should be as easy as entering a number online and getting a response that says it's clean or stolen.

You can find some factory rifles in 7mm wsm but I would take this as an opportunity to build one if I was you. I haven't had one single issue with my rifle yet.........It has shot at 6 animals so far, and all six animals were crumpled on the first shot:) I did shoot two into my griz although it clearly wasn't necessary:) I can put you in touch with my buddy who built this gun for me, he actually has one more 7mm short mag action just waiting for someone to build on it. Has a broughton barrel for it already too .... Send me a pm if you want more info on it.

I haven't had one single jamming or chambering issue at all.....I also have a 300 short mag that I've had for 4 years and it has never done it either.......

That sucks. Keep an eye on zidaho.com also. Did they just grab the gun? Or were other things taken?

Crazy thing is my MR Longbow completely packed for a bivy hunt was sitting behind my driver seat and was not taken. Thank god that was not taken as it's one of the last optifade packs sold that I'm aware of and another $1500 in gear.

Glad they didn't get everything. Will keep an eye out in Nampa. Wonder if they'll take the scope off and try to sell them separate.

I'm searching craigslist, zidaho, idaho statesman and ebay for weatherby and vortex just in case. I wish the scope had a serial number.

With luck it could be these clowns. I can't believe the smirk on this pricks face. He needs to be put in boot camp and punished to no end if this guy ever has a chance at being a decent human being. http://www.idahostatesman.com/2012/10/31/2329795/meridian-police-teens-charged.html#storylink=mainr1
