I've been wanting to go bow hunting goats for several years now and I finally got a chance to sneak away for the weekend and try it. I had a rifle tag in the SD badlands last year and was successful so I decided to head there again. Was the most frustrating and exciting hunt of my life. And now it makes sense why a person should do both. To get a little revenge once rifle season rolls around lol. Good luck to everyone this fall!

You're right, bow hunting is the most exciting and frustrating way to hunt. I've bow hunted probably 5 or 6 years off and on but have not been successful yet. There is nothing like it when you have a bull elk bugling at your cow call from less that 15 yards away. You can actually feel it.
Or when you are so close to a buck you can see it blink and twitch it's nose sniffing for danger, then the buck snorts and you've been busted. That's a rush for sure!
Good luck to you.
