i hunted down that way several years ago south between ashland and the wyoming border. i was just wondering if anyone has been down in that country this past hunting season? ive seen burn maps but not sure how accurate they are. wondering about how much of the national forest burned, blm, etc.

Just about everything in the Tongue River drainage south of O'Dell creek burned and burned hot. Not sure on the exact line south of the forest, but everything between Bear Creek and Hanging Woman would be close. The elk for the most part have moved out of the burn, I worry about the few deer that were left. Went into fall with little to eat and the deep snow in Jan and Feb could have been the death of them.
