I have a twin to this only in a .280 that I bought new in 1986. Still my “go to” rifle for opening day. I thought my son would want this one but he prefers his 6mm so it’s going to find a new home.

That 270 is a nice looking rifle but like your son, I prefer the 6mm Remington as my Avatar name shows. He's in the same boat as me!

All a person would need would be a pound of H4831SC, Federal 210 primers, and some 130 gr. Partitions or Accubonds and go forth and hunt some stuff!

These are right in the sweet spot for me...light and trim and easy to carry but not so light or short as to make shooting a challenge. Mine of similar vintage in 06 is a shooter that I will never part with.
