Relax, Everything is Going to be Okay!

Against the will of the majority of their constituents?

Yes.

Again I ask, if Biden were re elected and George Soros was all of the sudden everywhere as his henchman, would you be ok with that? I find it hard to believe you’d say “it’s ok with his constituents, it’s ok with me.” People would be losing their minds.

I’d rather Trump, the senate, congress and his approved cabinet members be running the show.

I don’t think that’s crazy. I think that’s America.

In no way do two wrongs make a right, just to point out though. I'm not real convinced who was driving the boat for the last four years either.

Probably not a brain dead president.

But I’m sorry it doesn’t compare to what is blatantly happening now. If you watched the meeting today or read any of the transcript, Trump told his cabinet that they will follow Elon Musk.

He has billions of dollars in government contracts and is most definitely benefiting from what is happening.

I vote red and blue and stand for and with the working class.

I vote the same way. I'm not real sure if I can say if it compares or not if I don't know who we are comparing to.

Exactly. Uncharted waters. Someone with this much money, perceived power, and a huge stake in government contracts has ever been gifted this much power. Zero comparison.
I agree, this is unchartered waters. I'm not looking for an argument. Just wondering if you could tell me who the comparison was between?

I’m not looking for an argument either. I respect you.

I will add though, with his money and voice on twitter, it’s just gross and weak to me that elected officials are afraid to speak up because of the fear of being primaried.

I don't know that much about the guy at all to be honest. Strikes me as a dork with a rocket obsession. Regardless if I like him or you do or whatever. I don't know how you compare two people if you don't know who we are comparing.

I would think the court cases are going to start piling up.
They are firing those pesky attorneys and lawmakers now.

Pete Hegeseth:
“Ultimately, we want lawyers who give sound constitutional advice and don't exist to attempt to be roadblocks to anything. It’s roadblocks to orders that are given by a commander in chief.”

That Constitution. Such an impediment to true progress, for almost 250yrs.

Yes.

If you mean does it matter if an elected president and voted upon cabinet heads, whether R or D @Hilljackoutlaw, vs an unelected billionaire with no actual authority are making the decisions. It does to me.

If you replaced Elon Musk with George Soros, would you be ok with him pulling the strings?

Comparing Soros to Musk is insane. Right up there with Trump is the same as Hitler. I hope I don’t need to explain what Soros has done to society. Google it. I’m not a Elon fanboy either, but the majority of voters voted for this for a reason. He knows how to run shit and weed out worthless people and their worthless jobs. Do people here really think there’s no corruption/fraud/waste in the federal government, that blows my freaking mind!

I’ve heard him say more than a dozen times “we will make mistakes and correct them” maybe I’m naive but I’m hopeful they correct the mistakes being made with USFS. I think they will realize once fire season starts and correct it. We already have been for years clearing trail in the forest because USFS won’t. Looking forward to bumping this thread when that time comes. Even if I’m wrong.

I go back and forth with liking Elon, I agree with him that our country will go bankrupt if we don’t take action but I don’t get the feeling he gives two shits about the environment or conservation issues. Can’t win them all… the alternative to this administration was… well we know I don’t have to point that out.

Thanks for the info, that's interesting. The act was passed overwhelmingly by both parties and president Trump. Did they pass it for appearances sake knowing full well they'd scuttle it or allow it to be scuttled later? What motivation would Trump have for supporting it if he is really against it?
I suspect his motivation was that passing such was considered a bill that would get Senator Steve Daines, R-MT elected. And it did.

I'm doubt he's against it, or for it. I suspect he's completely ambivalent about it, being disconnected from any personal life experiences related to public lands. And if that ambivalence is like most instance of ambivalence, they defer to the Utah delegation as to what the position should be.
