I am going to be in Red Lodge, MT August 6th thru the 11th for a family reunion. I am looking for suggestions on different activities that are available for adults, teenagers and kids. Fishing will be part of what we will do, other than that would like some suggestions.
Thanks.

The beartooth plateau is awsome that time of year. Lots of places to explore, hike, fish etc.... You are also not far from Yellowstone Park. The bulls will be pretty close to full grown, good time to see mountain goats, bears, sheep etc.

There is plenty to do in that area, that time of year.

Beartooth Highway, Resturants, Sight seeing, Resturants,
Golf, Resturants, Nature Center, Resturants,

If you go hungry in this town it'd your own fault. !!!

Take a day, drive over the Beartooth and Chief Joseph to Cody WY. Spend some time at the Buffalo Bill Museum and drive back through Belfry. The drive there should take about 2 1/2 hours depending on how many times you stop for pictures and the drive back is only about an hour. I used to go to the Beartoot Rally in Red Lodge every year but I haven't gone for a few years and last year I sold my bike so I'm out this year as well. The roads there are amazing.

You can always go to Laurel and Billings and see where the grizzly bears rely on rainbow trout for their food, and how the oil spill has affected them. :D

Seriously, go up the Btooth highway. Lots of great hikes and places to see. Head over to Cooke City for a night, and then check out the Lamar valley in the early am or late evening for some good wildlife shows.

Wild Bill Lake about 5 miles out of Redlodge is fun fishing for the kids. Even cheetos work for bait.

They also have a zoo there and wild bill lake is fun fishing for kids we always use velveeta cheese! im headed up there this weekend myself

If you want a really good meal go over to the Grizzly Bar and Restaurant in Roscoe (about 30 minutes west of Red Lodge) great food and good local folks, plus gorgeous country.
