Federal Trophy Bonded Tip, .277/130 gr, off side shoulder of whitetail buck. Yet again, can’t recall retained weight. 401 yards though, furthest shot I think I’ve taken.

This was the last deer I killed with a gun. Barnes TTX 120 grain fired from 10.5 300 BLK AR-Pistol. He was facing away but I had a steep downward angle into the body cavity. It was about 60 yards and the bullet punched thru the spine and seared a nasty round channel thru the entire length of one lung. He didn’t take a step. I found the bullet in the body cavity up again the sternum.

And you can bet your ass I used camera angles to make the deer look as big as possible!

Nice buck, but that bullet sure looks like a cup and core, maybe a Speer Grand Slam from the GS on the base.

Man what the heck, it clearly does say GS on the bottom.

I tapped the bullet on my desk… the lead core fell out…..

I have no idea how I got this bullet, but I’m pretty sure this is actually a bullet my buddy shot a cow elk with. I’ve had this bullet for the last two years thinking it went with that buck, even had it on the shelf under the euro mount this whole time.

Now I’m annoyed cause I have now idea where my copper bullet is.
