My nephew has really excelled this year at his archery in the schools program. He's currently 3rd in his grade class and 24th in the whole state. Brought his medals he won the other day to show me this evening. He's got a fire lit under him to kill a deer with a bow next year.

I'd say the deer don't have much say in the matter: if that kid sets his sights on one, the results are bound to be fatal! Cool to see someone getting their start and the enthusiasm that comes with it. Looks like you've got a new hunting partner!
