I did one this week on a Dodge. It was evaporator core but I did heater core too while I was in there.

As suggested by the youtube video that coached me through my endeavor, I used egg cartons and numbered the slots for the particular screws for each step. Reverse for re-assembly. Didn't have any extras, and up til then, the extent of my mechanic resume only included brakes, oil, and wiper blades. Thank goodness for Youtube!When I did it I think we had something like 200 labeled ziploc baggies of screws, nuts, bolts etc.

It always amazes me where engineers put oil filters on some vehicles...engineers and mechanics don’t get along.
