Purty Rifles are Interesting...

Karamojo Bell wasn't felling poodles with his 7x57........
Back to the poetry.

Bell was a poacher. Let's not elevate a man who killed solely for profit. ;)

Harley - Everybody needs a coyote rifle. :)

A mannlicher stock shouldn't affect accuracy for hunting too much on a #1 unless it's affixed to the front of the barrel as well. Even then, you should be able to get 1' groups with some diligent hand loading.

I thought your Texas spell check got you in your thread title, and you were gonna show off a new Purdy masterpiece. Purty indeed, and may you scratch or not scratch that beautiful finish as you wish.

I have two Ruger 1B's in 6mm Remington and 30-06! Both shoot extremely well and are gorgeous rifles. Just so classy looking too and I love hunting with them.! That 25-06 you have is beautiful and the 25-06 is one fantastic antelope and deer rifle, and can also work on elk. I've shot one with a 25-06 and let a friend of my son's use it on his elk also.

Really like those stainless no.1s. Hope to pickup a stainless 7mag some day.
Here's my 7mag, early non-prefix, made in 1967 I believe.
Killed its share of game over the years. Another gun spending too much time in the safe
