Im getting ready to do a shoulder mount for the pronghorn I shoot last fall.
I'm looking to do a hard right turn, anyone have one that i can see how it turns out?
can I please see any pictures
Long story short I am thinking of having my Pronghorn from this year mounted. I have quite a few deer shoulder mounts done, and multiple euro mounts of deer, elk and antelope so space is becoming limited. Looking around I really am liking the pedestal style mounts. Curious what these are like...
My wife’s got one that kinda fits the bill. I wouldn’t say it’s a hard right…and the photo doesn’t do it any justice…but here’s a right facing pronghorn. I’ll try to remember to dust it off and take a better photo when I get home.
I don't think you'll be very happy with a "hard right" pose. They are not popular except for large animals and wall space limitations. Personally, I would go with euro or cap mount before "hard right" shoulder mount. If this is a pedestal mount and you have limited space, I suggest a wall mount pedestal slightly right facing and mounted in a corner. Great use for that typically wasted space.
Here's a slight right turn posed pronghorn my daughter did for a class project.
And here's a wall mount pedestal of one of my muleys. Not her best work but an example of wall mount pedestal. I will move it to the corner when I open the ceiling and move the elk racks up high.
