Project 2025 and Conservation

Nobody is going to call Buzz and I buddies. We have squabbled over all kinds of topics over the years. But your personalizing a whole series of posts that have little to nothing to do about the topic at hand and just repeatedly pound on one other HT user (Buzz in this case) is ridiculous and I hope BigFin pulls the plug on your account soon.

Luckily no one on this site ever pounded another HT user.

Fin is free to do as he chooses, but "ban him" is pretty weak cheese.

I agree, there's no reason to ban you. Anyone that can't handle the small amount of criticism some random knucklehead on the net hiding behind a screen has to say, well, they need to toughen up. Guys like you are a dime a dozen, all mouth, nothing more.

Oh, and for the record, the first time I've hunted elk in the Red Desert was last fall helping a good friend of mine.

All environments have a carrying capacity.
You can have biologists come to your farm and tell you what it's capacity is for deer, elk, etc. (discounting invasive species like cattle and sheep).

Agri will come out and tell you how many cow/calf pairs you can run by analyzing resources.

Some years ago, scientists identified the WORLD has a healthy carrying capacity of four billion people. We are at eight and a half billion.

Something is going to suffer and lose.
Combine that with greedy governments and selfish people and...

It's unsustainable at the growth rate we have in the world... economically, environmentally, and as evidence of late: socially.

Invasive species like cattle and sheep??? I understand the hate for sheep, but Judas F'n Priest man, the fat, overweight, disgusting American city dwellers gotta eat too! Are you thinking of BLM mustangs perhaps?

What's the odds these "scientists" have children?

Publish their names, let's look if they put their money where their mouths are.

Also.

As to OP

President Trump's campaign has been very clear for over a year that Project 2025 had nothing to do with the campaign, did not speak for the campaign, and should not be associated with the campaign or the President in any way," the campaign said in Tuesday's statement.

"Reports of Project 2025's demise would be greatly welcomed and should serve as notice to anyone or any group trying to misrepresent their influence with President Trump and his campaign—it will not end well for you," the statement continued.

Heritage has done this same thing since Reagan, and in fact did criticize Reagan.

No doubt. The USA is not a problem until you throw in the immigration numbers. We just have more wealth thus more people traveling to hunt and applying for tags.🥴

Third world countries: Africa, India, etc really multiply, lol.
China too.

Thought this should be bumped so we can keep track. Here are the suggestions for government positions so far that contributed to Project 2025. Nothing seems immediately pressing on the conservation front other than general budget. I am worried that Department of the Interior and USDA will be easy targets for cuts.
Pay attention.

DOGE will be where some of this lands.

“Under Paul Dans’ leadership, Project 2025 has completed exactly what it set out to do: bringing together over 110 leading conservative organizations to create a unified conservative vision, motivated to devolve power from the unelected administrative state, and returning it to the people,” Roberts said. “This tool was built for any future administration to use.”
