Precarious Health and decisions...

I find it nice that you are mindful of your sons success and in your words, "not being a burden" to them. It would be smart of all of you to really discuss what you feel would be your limitations, and how each of you see the trip playing out. It sounds like they want your company, and I hope you get to go and you all have a wonderful adventure.

Some wise HuntTalk member (along with everyone else that responded) encouraged you to make the effort and go. Very cool to check back in with your successes. I imagine the deer-getting is some of the least of the benefits of your adventure.

So awesome!! Even without putting that 4x4 on the ground, I was sure that this trip would be a success. Way to go!! Gotta love a family that hunts together.

Very cool! Glad you went and sounds like a good time was had by all.

That’s awesome!

My dad used to pick me up from school half day because of a “family issue” to go trout fishing when I was in grade school.
Last Friday I worked from home and left at lunchtime to drive across the country to shoot a couple antelope and have a big “adventure”.

I wish my dad had picked me up from school.
