I find it nice that you are mindful of your sons success and in your words, "not being a burden" to them. It would be smart of all of you to really discuss what you feel would be your limitations, and how each of you see the trip playing out. It sounds like they want your company, and I hope you get to go and you all have a wonderful adventure.
Exactly what I was thinking.. I learned a long time ago that antlers have little to do with measuring success..So awesome!! Even without putting that 4x4 on the ground, I was sure that this trip would be a success. Way to go!! Gotta love a family that hunts together.

I went with them and watched my 2nd oldest shoot his first mule deer buck. I shot a nice 4x4 (btw first mule deer in 27 years). View attachment 116047
