Pointers on late season cow hunts?

My bday is this weekend. Work has been stressful as of late and my wife told me to take off and go hunting. Umm yes ma’am I gladly will!

Is there any late season cow elk western hunt options available still?

I know if CO late season rifle plains only…

Pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Everything I know of that’s still available in MT would be a really low odds deal without access to private land.

You could probably buy a cow elk hunt (Dec - Jan) in UT, AZ or NM. I'm guessing guided 1x1, 2x1 or semi guided for $1500-$2400ish

I just Realized my WY Cow tag is good until Jan 31.
Got a permission slip on an HMA.
On a new year of Vacation Time in January...
Thinking about Jan 2-6 or 16-22

a Grade School buddy just moved to a town 2 hours from there.....

Are Type 6 tags as much of a "don't talk in public" as the General areas?
