Plant identification

I searched for a forum but couldn’t find one so I decided to just create one. Can someone tell me what kind of plant this is? I want to do a whiskey barrel mount with some habitat and need to see if I can find a replica. Specifically the plant in the background here. Thanks in advance

It’s a thistle of some kind, without a closeup of the flower I’d be just guessing. You posted in the Colorado forum, may I assume this was in Colorado?

Yes it was in Colorado

Yep my first thought was Scotch but looks a little different.
