Looks like the ratchet is to a kayak or sup or similar on the back side.

I have another pair but no photos. I’ll take one later.

They are uncomfortable as none other and I rarely if ever wear them. It’s more to get a rise out of people than anything else. The clears were a Christmas gift from my employee. Only really use them at the range
