In Texas and Oklahoma, the "collared" dove is also called a rock dove, Mexican dove and several other aliases! LOL!
They fall under the same season guidelines as feral hogs.
Season opens Jan. 1.
Season closes Dec. 31.
No bag limit.
No season limit.
No possession limit.
Shooting hours are whenever you find them!

Same for here in Georgia. People call them ring necks and Eurasians. We're free to fire at will here too

For the last couple days one has been taking up shade from the heat in the gutter on the N side of my house. It had gotten a little too comfortable with me I guess because I just stood up in the bed of my pickup to see it and it just sat there looking at me.
It stayed there while I jumped out, went to the garage and came back with a 5/8x18” piece of rebar. BONK
